Your Job As a Production Planner you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our production schedules align seamlessly with customer demand, optimizing resource use, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in creating effective production plans and managing supply chain operations will be crucial in meeting our operational goals and supporting our company's vision for efficiency and excellence. Our Team You will be part of the Global Shared Plants (GSP) division based in Guadalajara, working under the guidance of the Planning Supervisor. Our team is dedicated to maintaining high standards of production planning and ensuring that customer satisfaction is achieved through meticulous coordination and efficient operation. We collaborate closely with various departments such as Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service, to foster a robust and responsive production environment.
What You Will Do
Develop and implement strategic daily or weekly production schedules to meet customer demand and deadlines.
Analyze and optimize raw material needs, equipment, and manpower to support production schedules.
Coordinate production flow across multiple product lines, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Monitor production output and adherence to scheduled timelines, adjusting plans as necessary to mitigate interruptions.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing insightful performance reports and addressing scheduling issues.
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and Lean projects to enhance production efficiency and output quality.
Analyze demand fluctuations and execute proactive strategies for mid- and long-term planning.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Possess a professional degree with a strong understanding of production planning processes.
Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in creating and executing effective production plans.
Proficient in English with excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
Demonstrate strong analytical skills for evaluating short- and long-term scenarios in production planning.
Experienced in using ERP and MRP systems for production planning and material procurement.
What Will Put You Ahead
APICS Certification and CARRAS negotiation skills.
Experience in High Mix / Low Volume operations, SMT, Back End, and automated processes.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Multiple ERP experience and knowledge of automated supply chain tools such as Kinaxis.
Proven ability to adapt to changing scenarios with high emotional intelligence.
