RESPONSIBILITIES: The plant manager position directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for safety, production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities.
Supervisory responsibility:
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
JOB SKILLS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in regulated industry (medical device preferred)
Ability to think strategically, viewing the business from a general and high-level management standpoint
Ability to drive results in a cross-functional and matrix organization

MAIN JOB DUTIES:
Direct and manage plant operations for safety, production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and
receiving
Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental leads to ensure the total manufacturing
objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
Develop and control profits, plans, and budget
Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, and manpower
Manages capital asset maintenance
Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards
Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses
Develop and maintain plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and
equipment when necessary
Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives
Implements and maintains preventive maintenance programs
Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel
Provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisor
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
Minimum 5+ year of progressively responsible operations leadership experience (preferred)
Five years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment
Bilingual (English-Spanish prefeed)
Medical device manufacturing experience
Experience in FDA and ISO 13485 regulated devices
