British American Tobacco Mexico has an exciting opportunity for a Legal Intern In Monterrey
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage and coordinate the Integrity Screening tool, ensuring all third parties are onboarded, accessible and up to date.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts across various functions.
- Work with legal and business teams to ensure third parties comply with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
- Act as a business partner between Legal and other business units, fostering effective communication and alignment on legal matters.
- Identify opportunities to streamline legal processes, reduce risks and enhance efficiency through creative legal solutions.
- Analyze laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide recommendations and insights that mitigate legal risks and promote compliance
- Maintain accurate and organized legal documentation
- Provide legal support and assistance to the legal team as needed, including preparing legal documents, presentations, and reports.
What are we looking for?
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- At least one year of experience in a Company or Legal Firm as well as Internship Legal Programmes. (desirable)
- Strong analytical, research and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a dynamic business environment
- Understanding of contract law, corporate governance, and company secretarial
- Proactive and willing to have continuous development. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and be able to work with tight deadlines
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Docu Sign (desirable)
- Fluent English: written and speaking. (Advanced, is a must)
