CRI's Shared Services Center is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional with 5 years of experience in spearheading the development of an effective HR strategy, performing campus and experienced hire recruiting, streamlining the onboarding process, and creating successful employee engagement strategies. This individual should also have experience with implementing and managing a modern HR system, creating and implementing a standards-based disciplinary process and overseeing the successful transition to an automated Human Resources system resulting in an increase of performance outcomes and cost-savings. The ideal candidate should demonstrate tenacity and higher-order thinking skills to build a connected, competent and well-informed team.
Essential functions:
- Oversee and execute on campus recruiting efforts with three Juarez universities – engage student and facilitate internships and entry level hiring after graduation. Track performance of interns and make recommendation to CRI leadership on hiring decisions. For those interns receiving full-time job positions, track their graduation dates and coordinate their start and onboarding process and dates. Continually analyze the staff performance as they proceed within CRI as an aid on determining which university/universities are producing the best workers in our professional workforce.
- Oversee and execute on local Juarez experienced hire recruiting efforts – assist with identifying local candidates from other CPA firms and others within the marketplace. Help with online job postings. Facilitate screening interviews and coordinate candidates as they proceed through the interview process. Facilitate obtaining university transcripts, English language testing results, completed FASB Codification exercise, and other required information from the candidates to aid in the hiring decision.
- Onboarding new employees in CRI culture. Link CRI’s management with employees—effective communication in organizational changes and new policies. Share CRI and SSC policies with new employees. Provide training on the Practice Management (PM) timekeeping software to new employees.
- Help to facilitate and coordinate the new employees’ training in US GAAP, US GAAS, and US Tax.
- Plan and coordinate an organization’s workforce to best use employees’ talents. Oversee the deployment of staff to US offices, and address any staff performance issues with both the US offices and with the deployed staff having performance issues.
- Oversee annual evaluation process to manage talent with the US offices to objective, qualitative, and quantitatively evaluate employees. Help coordinate and oversee the career advising process.
- Plan and oversee employee benefit programs and mental health in alignment with US corporate and Mexican labor laws.
- Understand Mexican labor law, labor agreements, and internal policies align values, rights, and obligations from both employer and employee. Be able to advise CRI leadership on Mexican labor law in many certain employee related decisions.
- Serve as a consultant to advise other managers on human resources issues, such as equal employment opportunity, inclusion, and sexual harassment, among other topics.
- Handle staffing issues, such as mediating disputes and directing disciplinary procedures.
- Maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Five or more years of Human Resources and/or Recruiting experience within professional services
- International experience in professional services industry, preferable
- Bilingual English and Spanish (oral/written advance skills)
- Strong knowledge of Mexican labor laws
- Ability to build strong relationships within business community and with universities
- Well-developed decision-making skills and knowledge of when consultation is necessary
- Strong communication and organizational skills
