Job Summary:
Provides financial and accounting support in his/her area of responsibility. Performs specific financial and accounting activities following the departmental procedures to assist/help in the decision making. Performs the financial report in his/her area of responsibility.
Responsibilities:
Is responsible for the monthly and annual accounting closing.
Prepares analysis and presentations when required.
Participates in financial audits and complies with the procedures and policies of internal and external audit.
Provides support, prepares and presents financial analysis of his/her area of responsibility on a timely, exact fashion and interprets financial information of the different departments, influencing in the decision taking.
Provides support to departments with their expenses, capital, budget, follow up and reports.
Provides education and ensures the adherence to the internal control procedures and processes.
Develops financial budgets of the plant operation.
Prepares the required capital appropriations analysis and on monthly basis monitors the expenditure of the approved capital.
Prepares an account analysis of the balance sheet and expenses.
Analyses and evaluates cost reduction projects.
Coordinates and executes special projects.
Ensures the filing of accounting and legal documents in a correct manner.
Prepares cash flows.
Develops, maintains, performs and supervises the work procedures and processes related to his responsibilities as well as the personnel under his charge, including the internal control of Sarbanes & Oxley.
Complies with the policies, procedures and regulations of the company, local, state and federal, as well as the procedures and policies for Safety and Hygiene, Health and Environment, GMPs, ISO, etc.
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
Performs other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor in Accounting of similar career. Masters is desirable.
2 to 4 years of experience in accounting.
Performs and presents noncomplex analysis.
Good communication.
Participates/coordinates projects.
Appropriate management of conflict situations.
Identifies the root/cause to propose solutions.
Good interpersonal skills.
Required Knowledge & Skills and Abilities:
Familiarized with manufacturing environment
High sense of urgency
Communication skills.
Good reasoning and judgment.
Ability in the management of priorities.
Use of Microsoft Office, BPCS or JDE.
Updated in the changes of the laws and Mexican regulations regarding taxes as well as the requirements for fiscal reports.
Bilingual Spanish/English 70%.
