Design, develop, procure, commission and validate cost effective test systems in accordance with Ford Powertrain Strategies, Bill of Process, Procedures and Specifications.
Implement standardized engineered solutions for production test equipment with lead responsibility for ergonomics, safety, productivity, and process conformity.
Support continuous improvement of test processes and the introduction of new technologies.
Develop, implement and validate vision inspection systems to validate Stator welding and EOL verification.
Develop and maintain Bill of Process elements for all test methods and equipment specifications.
Review with PD product changes and implications on test equipment.
Define test parameters and components to be tested aligned with Technical specialist and PD.
Understand the functionality of the part under test and his engineering specifications.
Support on warranty claims and quality issues on the Stator assembly line.
Support Lead Engineer in achieving program deliverables in line with test.
Lead cost study response and APN/PN process for test equipment.
Responsibility for design, runoff, delivery and launch of new/re-tooled equipment to support New Programs
Resolve engineering and program delivery issues.
Support (Digital Pre-Assembly) DPA process for assigned component/process
Lead coordination of inter related items (material handling & kitting, workstation engineering, virtual assembly or manufacturing builds, back-up/hand tools, gauging, tooling)
Request and ensure on time delivery of all (Original Equipment Manufacturer) OEM documentation (e.g. [Reliability and Maintainability] R&M, Spare Parts lists, Manuals, final Installation Drawing packages, PM Plans, [Energy control lockouts] ECPL Placards etc…)
Lead development of process documentation (e.g. DCP, [Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis] PFMEA, [Global Study Process Allocation System] GSPAS, Process Sheets, Process Illustrations, tool set up drawings, etc...)
Coordinate PROTAG sign-off.
Lead Machine Acceptance sign-off, define EVP and issue resolution.
Define MTO parts required, get the information and follow up with MTO coordinator on the procurement of the parts
Interface with plant teams such as the launch team, NML, skilled trades and the groups responsible for maintenance planning and spare requisitioning
Support product feasibility and releasing activities.
