Position Summary
You'll be responsible for leading key mechanical product lines, machines, and equipment and supporting other mechanical portfolios as required. In this role, you'll influence the supply and sourcing strategy and have global accountability for strategy implementation. You'll also lead specific supplier relationships and support the different Business Units and regions on strategic and operational topics.
As part of the Supply Chain Management organization, you'll report to the Global Category Manager and play an integral part in our team.
My Role:
Implement category (commodity) strategies that create competitive advantage and capture value for the product lines
Influence robust global category strategy development and lead global strategy implementation across all business units
Build and maintain major cross-product line supplier relationships with ongoing performance and capability evaluation
Lead category-specific strategic supplier events, such as Supplier Workshops, Quarterly Business Reviews and Executive Management Reviews
Lead negotiations of corporate-wide supplier contracts, including Terms & Conditions, payment terms, Strategic Agreements and Logistic Agreements
Create, lead and monitor supplier development & risk mitigation plans
Qualify/categorize/approve suppliers
Acquiring the best price, negotiating offers with the highest savings potential /cost avoidance
Identifying, implementing and approving cost-improving initiatives
Preparing cost-saving workshops and supporting corrective actions
Develop and management of e-Catalogue and ERP contract strategies.
Establishing a purchasing plan and managing sourcing for commercial transactions from US$ 250.000
Analyzing market, expenses and key suppliers within the managed category
My Background:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
+3 Years of experience in related areas.
Advanced English
Experience purchasing subject components within the Automotive Industry
Process Engineering for Machines & Equipment experience (desired)
Very Good knowledge of MS Office ( Excel, Power point..)
Understanding of Lean principles and how to apply them to a Strategic Sourcing role to reduce waste and contribute to a high-performing team
Ability to travel both locally and globally (US Visa)
Empowered decision maker/relationship-builder with high integrity
Strong problem-solving skills in high-pressure scenarios
Commercial acumen & analytical skills to assess supplier financial information and capability
Very good team work skills
Project management and business planning skills
