Job Summary
This role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that cater to specific user needs or business requirements. The role plans, executes, and monitors software development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. The role identifies potential risks and challenges in software projects and implement strategies to mitigate these risks for successful project outcomes.

Education & Experience Recommended

Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 6-12 years of work experience, preferably in applications engineering, programming, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Dashboard Development: Expertise in designing and building interactive dashboards and reports for data visualization.
Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret data trends and derive actionable insights.
Product Management: Experience in managing product development lifecycle, including ideation, planning, and execution.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work with various teams such as development, Business, and boundary systems to align product features with customer needs.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey data insights and product visions to stakeholders.
Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address business challenges using data-driven approaches.
Defines and documents product requirements, user stories, and epics and works closely with the agile team to execute on the product backlog.
Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with applications design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software applications leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.

Additional Experience & Skills preferred

Gainsight experience as end-user or any UI reporting tool exposure like Power BI, Thoughtspot
SQL Proficiency: Ability to write complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
Customer-facing experience, especially as a Customer Success Manager
Experience interacting with senior leadership and managers
Experience in operations for customer success, sales, support, services, or marketing
Understanding of data structures, data modeling, and database management
Good to have experience as end-user of a CRM, customer support system, or marketing automation system
Good to have CRM administration experience or certification
