Work in Kuwait is contingent upon the applicant’s ability to obtain a work permit from the State of Kuwait, which is requested on the applicant’s behalf by their employer. Effective January 1, 2021, the Kuwait Public Authority of Manpower issued new work permit regulations, informing contractors that it will not issue a work permit to any individual who is fifty-nine (59) years or older and holds a high school grade certificate or less. A bachelor’s degree or higher is required for all candidates fifty-nine (59) years or older. See Administrative Decision No. (520) of 2020 AD – Amendment to the Administrative Decision No. (552) of 2018 on Issuing the Work Permit Regulations. Candidates with a current Visa 18 (residency visa) are excluded from the education requirement.
Purpose: Under general supervision, oversees the day-to-day execution of the supply program and Supply Section personnel under this effort. This position is responsible for monitoring the receipt, storage, research, disposition, inventories, and accountability of set equipment. Supervises the daily operation of the section and develops performance standard.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and/or revises appropriate standard operating procedures, flow charts, and work instructions that meet mission requirements.
Supervises daily operation for the section. Mentors and conducts counseling as required.
Oversees the daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports submissions as required by the department.
Develops slide briefings and conduct briefing to senior leadership as required.
Ensures tasks are executed in order to meet mission deadlines.
Ensures equipment is accounted for, configured, and properly stored.
Acts as the primary communication link between the section and the SOC, to ensure efficient execution of Taskers and/or missions.
Coordinates, tracks progress, validates, and synchronizes efforts with other departments to ensure completion of tasks for all missions assigned to the section.
Troubleshoots, coordinates problem resolution, or recommends solutions to management.
Ensures Performance Work Statement requirements and company goals are met.
Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System
Duties are dependent on department/section.
Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree or higher preferred
AMMO 62, 67 or 43 preferred
Experience:
7 years’ supervisor experience in supply or related activities required.
2 years’ experience Army Prepositioned Stocks Program or similar program preferred.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and equipment management processes, related regulations and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.
Thorough knowledge of analytical techniques and causative research skills to identify areas of needed emphasis to recommend improvements.
Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Possess the ability to multitask.
Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required.
Must possess the ability to plan, organize, supervise and delegate job assignments to personnel assigned in order to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of AR 710-2, DA PAM 710-2, AR735-5, Army Supply documentation, and other applicable regulations.
Must possess working knowledge of GCSS-Army or other approved automated property accountability systems.
Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Power Point and Word highly preferred.
Certification, License & Clearance:
Driver’s license required.
Tier 1 NACI required for all U.S. Citizens.
Ability to obtain SAAR approval for NIPR access required.
GCSS-Army certification required.
Facility credentials/authorization required: Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:
Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
