Primary Objective(s)
- You should have experience in environmental issues in design, construction, or operation of landfill installations, including handling permits for plants, utilities, water treatment, wastewater treatment, petrochemicals, oilfield production, and related hazardous disposals.
- You shall be capable of assisting/preparing Environmental Impact Assessment, conceptual site Modelling, Environmental Control for projects and ensure compliance during all stages of the Project.
- You shall be responsible for the successful execution of remediation programs including remedial design/implementation, excavation supervision and confirmatory sampling.
- You shall prepare and present to clients of technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications including cost estimates and budgets.
- You will maintain regular communication with clients through verbal and written correspondence which may include presentations.
- You will be responsible for Interpretation of environmental regulations and investigation results to successfully meet the clients’ requirements.
- You will be responsible for quality assurance – for working within the provisions and guidelines of the quality assurance system relevant to the Contaminated Sites Group.
- You will become familiar with Worley's safety manuals and comply with Worley's Health & Safety policies.
- You will be responsible for personal safety and safe working practices for the Contaminated Sites Group. Understand and follow occupational health and safety procedures.

- You will be seen as the Subject matter specialist for the resolution of issues arising across all areas of the job and be able to clearly explain complex processes that surround the role.
- We expect you to ensure the integrity of the work and that all work is carried-out in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- We expect you to mentor of less experienced members of staff including ‘hands on’ approach to the formulation and delivery of training programs for local Kuwaiti personnel.
Preferred Qualification(s) and/or Experience:
- You will possess either an engineering degree and/or an equivalent diploma from an accredited college or recognized university; this is an essential contractual requirement.
- You will have experience working with remediation technologies for oil-contaminated soil.
- You must have experience in developing strategies for Remediation programs.
- You will have the ability to interact effectively with people of all nationalities & cultures while using clear, fluent, and expressive verbal and written language to convey information and ideas; an individual with excellent communication and people skills, a consummate developer of relationship(s) on a sustainable and long-term basis.
- You should be familiar with the necessary engineering and organizational controls required to prevent damage to the environment.

- You Shall have experience in standards and methods of sampling and characterization.
- You will demonstrate an ability to lead/coach/mentor colleagues and/or staff.
- You will have the ability to work under tight time constraints with excellent time management and planning skills as well as manage multiple priorities.
- You will be willing to engage and manage clients as required by the needs of the business and if deemed necessary by the Worley management.
