We are now looking for a hardworking Post Silicon Engineer to join this multifaceted and innovative team as part of Networking business unit. Working in the Silicon Solutions Engineering team, you will be responsible for the validation & debugging of Electro-optical & Electrical current and future products at NVIDIA. Focusing on testing PHY designs at system and chip level working as part of a team with logic design, circuit design, architects, FW & board engineers to ensure successful product development. The qualified candidate should be comfortable in a lab environment and should demonstrate a passion for the creation, execution, and improvement of post-silicon plans.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading post-silicon bring-up & characterization of new silicon with the objective of driving product to mass production
Involvement in setting the silicon and product specs – requirements to HW/FW/package/System arch/tools
Involvement in feature specs, calibration specs, test plans, and tool implementation
Definition of integration plan, coverage, timeline, resources, budget (lab)
Hands-on enablement and optimization for all Nvidia Electro-Optical and Electrical ICs
Leading data-driven discussions about the product functionality and areas for improvement
Develop new methodologies and automation to improve the silicon validation process
Leading root-causes analysis efforts (task forces) of silicon and optics issues through lab experimentation and collaboration with teams within NVIDIA
Establish complex lab setups using various high-speed electrical lab equipment (oscilloscope, Network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, BERT, etc.)
Supporting Application Engineering to resolve customer issues
What we need to see:
BSc degree in Electrical Engineering
3+ years of relevant experience in a high-speed electrical test engineering role
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analysis capabilities
Good knowledge of signal integrity and high-speed signal measurement of electro-optical high-speed interfaces
Proficient in the usage of electrical measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, BERTs & spectrum analyzers
Familiar with debugging platform-level boards /system
Scripting skills (Python and Matlab)
