Job Overview: AIR is developing a unique electric vertical takeoff and landing (e VTOL) for the private, logistics, and defense markets. With over 1,000 pre-orders for our private aircraft and active fulfillment of defense and logistics orders, we are rapidly growing. Our team is expanding as we prepare to launch testing operations and plan for mass production, working with top aerospace and automotive subcontractors worldwide. We are seeking a detail-oriented NPI Manager to oversee the configuration management process for AIR. The Configuration Manager will be responsible for managing configuration items (CIs) throughout the lifecycle, ensuring they are tracked, controlled, and deployed effectively. The role involves maintaining configuration records, supporting deployment, and ensuring system stability and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the Configuration Management Plan and processes to ensure the integrity of all configuration items (CIs).
Establish baselines and ensure CIs are properly identified, versioned, and controlled.
Maintain an accurate configuration management database (CMDB) or system, documenting system configurations, assets, and dependencies.
Coordinate with R&D, operations, and integration teams to deploy configuration changes in a controlled manner.
Review and approve configuration changes, ensuring that they are properly tested and verified before deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve configuration management issues.
Prepare reports and metrics on configuration management activities, status, and improvements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field. - Advantage
4-5 years of experience in NPI or configuration
Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
