Our procurement department is responsible for coordinating all procurement activities for production parts. and includes procurement of various fields such as: electronics, plastics, packaging, procurement of technical projects and R&D development. Our goal is to always provide the company with the products according to the required quality and quantities at the right time and at the best price and to update the order costs and delivery times in real time. We are looking for an Israel Purchasing Team Leader to join us. The Israel Purchasing Team Leaderwill be responsible for overseeing all procurement processes in Israel, including managing all local suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms, and supporting strategic projects aimed at cost reduction and improving business processes. Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all local suppliers, including selecting new suppliers, negotiating prices, terms, and delivery times.
Initiate and lead strategic projects for cost reduction and increasing efficiency in the company's procurement processes.
Develop annual procurement plans and achieve company expenditure targets while maintaining the quality of services and products purchased.
Maintain ongoing relationships with suppliers, including site visits and periodic audits, to ensure continuous supply on time and at the required quality by building long-term relationships and managing contracts and agreements.
Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Production Planning, Finance, and Logistics to ensure meeting the organization’s needs and requirements.
Monitor procurement market trends, analyze risks and opportunities, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Serve as an advisor and professional authority in the field to subordinates and company stakeholders.
Represent the company in the procurement domain, including independent commercial operations, closing commercial terms, and leading trade mechanisms with raw material manufacturers, their distributors, as well as local companies in the manufacturing field.
Develop and implement continuous improvement processes within the procurement department, including adopting new technologies and advanced working methods.
Manage an annual procurement budget of approximately 250 million NIS, while meeting savings and expenditure targets.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, etc.); a Master's degree is an advantage.
At least 7-10 years of experience in managing procurement at large scales, preferably with experience in local and international suppliers.
Proven ability to manage complex negotiations and relationships with major suppliers.
Experience in managing complex projects and leading processes for improvement and cost reduction.
Experience in managing procurement cycles with a volume of at least 100 million NIS per year.
High analytical skills, including experience in analyzing financial reports and complex procurement plans.
Excellent command of Hebrew and English, both written and spoken.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling challenges and pressures in a competitive and dynamic environment.
Knowledge and experience in ERP systems (PRIORITY), BI systems, and full proficiency in Office applications, with a strong command of Excel.
