The Position
OPSWAT is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the development and enhancement of our Email Security products, driving innovation and strengthening our market presence. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong technical background and the ability to manage and inspire engineering teams. As the Director of Engineering, you will oversee the end-to-end technical and operational management of our Email Security product line. This includes driving engineering roadmaps, managing the product development lifecycle, overseeing budget management, and establishing efficient cost structures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring robust collaboration between engineering and business functions.

What You Will Be Doing
- Guide and verify engineering architecture, ensuring best practices for cloud-native application development while balancing scalability and infrastructure costs.
- Lead the strategic vision for OPSWAT Email Security products by analyzing evolving security challenges and the competitive landscape, aligning OPSWAT's strengths with innovative engineering solutions.
- Work closely with engineering teams to define clear technical requirements, establish roadmaps, and set exit criteria for primary offerings, ensuring alignment with operational capabilities and business objectives.
- Provide technical leadership to guide product development, integrating both functional and non-functional requirements into actionable engineering plans.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams, offering technical insights that facilitate customer engagement and enhance business development efforts.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including sales teams, channel partners, and technology alliances, to drive product adoption and awareness.
- Work alongside marketing to develop effective sales enablement resources and strategies that resonate with end-users and channel ecosystems.
What We Need from You
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in an engineering leadership role.
- Deep familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure and architectures, with the ability to understand and drive engineering processes effectively.
- In-depth understanding of running high available cloud products with 24/7 support and monitoring.
- Strong communicator with outstanding written and verbal skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Comprehensive understanding of IT technology systems, including web security gateways, proxies, Microsoft 365, and Email Security solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, demonstrating strong team leadership capabilities.
- Proven project management expertise, thriving in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
- Experience in developing and deploying cybersecurity solutions for critical infrastructure or enterprise-level clients.
- A demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding operational and business objectives.
- A strategic, creative mindset, unafraid to take calculated risks to drive innovation.
It Would Be Nice If You Had
- Strong technical knowledge of public cloud services (Compute, networking, storage, databases, containers, security, operations, Paa S, Saa S, etc.) and related 3rd-party solutions
- Proven experience with implementing modern software engineering best practices and SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, Dev Sec Ops, SCM, CI/CD, automation, and operations
