Compensation range:
$67.92 - $91.69
Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience
Shift: Days Shift length: 10 Hours
Days off: Fixed If fixed, days off: Saturday & Sunday
Hours per pay period: 80 Sign-on bonus: $5,000.00
Physician Assistant:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Physician Assistant (PA), under the direction of the Medical Director and the onsite Supervising Physician provides and coordinates direct patient care and may act as a first assistant to the supervising surgeon. The PA provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative healthcare service, as delegated by a physician. The PA will report to the Enloe Regional Cancer Center for all employee/employer issues regarding departmental and organizational operations. The PA consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
- Graduate of a PA educational program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission (ARC) on Education for Physician Assistants (or its predecessor agency) OR current certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Desired:
- Recent surgery experience
- Recent oncology experience
- Bilingual in Spanish desirable
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- Current California Physician Assistant License
- Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA), if not a graduate from an accredited ARC Physician Assistant educational program
- Current AHA-HCP CPR recognition
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 3 months of hire
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application
- Meets Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to bill Medicare
- Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff Office and Finance Office
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis.
Nurse Practitioner:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse who possesses additional clinical and didactic education to function at an advanced level of nursing practice. They will be clinically competent in physical diagnosis, psychosocial assessment and management of health-illness needs to provide direct patient care and education to patients, families, students, and nursing staff. The NP consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
- Graduate of a Family Nurse Practitioner program
- Recent experience appropriate to the clinical area where practice will occur.
Desired:
- Bilingual in Spanish desirable
- One year experience in an oncology setting.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
- Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application
- Meets Centers for Medi Cal and Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare
- Current CPR
- Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff and Finance office
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
