Warehouse and Shipping Assistant
Job Summary
To be responsible for picking, packing and distribution of all our technical goods to our customers and traders worldwide. To operate at a fast pace, working to deadlines and to deliver an excellent service. Working as part of a team across a multi-functional team and to be a team player.

Qualifications
Pay: From €12.70 per hour
Expected hours: 19.5 per week
Work Location: In person

Tasks / Responsibilities
- Picking, packing and shipping orders
- Distributing stock to the correct location in the warehouse ·
- Ensuring that all goods incoming and outgoing match the relevant paperwork
- Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Manager
- Determining methods and costs of shipping and affixing shipping labels with identifying information, charges and payment information
- Preparing and printing shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
- Assisting with warehouse inventory controls, which typically involves using a hand-held scanner.
- Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
- Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedules
- Treating stock with care and concern
- Taking responsibility for a company’s assets by reporting any suspicious activity at work
The post-holder should recognise the importance of effective communication within the team and will strive to:

- Communicate effectively recognising the needs for alternative methods of communication where appropriate

The post-holder will strive to maintain quality within the i Parts4u Ltd, and will
- Alert other team members to issues of quality and risk
- Assess own performance and take accountability for own actions, either directly or under supervision
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities and making suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the team’s performance
- Work effectively with individuals in other agencies to meet the business needs
- Effectively manage own time, workload and resource.
The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others’ health, safety and security as defined in the Health & Safety Policy, to include:
- Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks
- Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills
- Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
- Reporting potential risks identified
Qualifications
- Good level of numeracy and literacy
- Proficient in all Microsoft Applications such as Excel
- Experience of working on own initiative
- Previous experience in the same role is desirable although full training will be given.
