Walsh’s Pharmacy Group is recruiting for a Full-time Pharmacy Sales Assistant, based in Main Street, Spiddal Co Galway. Walsh’s Pharmacy Group is a dynamic pharmacy chain located in Galway. We at Walsh’s Pharmacy Group pride ourselves in the delivery of exceptional customer service in all aspects of our healthcare and product provision. Our desire is to recruit a committed, enthusiastic and personable individual to join our dedicated team in our Spiddal store. This exciting position will involve working as part of the sales team and will include front of shop duties in addition to assisting the manager in the day to day running of the store.
It is desirable that candidates would have previous pharmacy experience but candidates with any retail experience can be considered for the position.
The list of duties and qualities involved to cover this position are as follows;
Duties:
1. Customer Assistance: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in finding and selecting the right OTC medications, healthcare products, and supplements based on their needs.
2. Product Knowledge: Have a strong understanding of the pharmacy's OTC inventory, including the uses, benefits, and potential side effects of various products.
3. Recommendations: Offer personalized recommendations and advice to customers on suitable OTC products for common ailments, allergies, and minor health concerns.
4. Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately, handle cash, credit cards, and electronic payment methods while maintaining the highest level of integrity.
5. Stock Management: Ensure shelves are well-stocked, products are neatly organized, and expiration dates are monitored to maintain a clean and organized sales floor.
6. Product Labeling: Assist in labeling and pricing products in compliance with pharmacy regulations and guidelines.
7. Health Education: Provide basic health and wellness information to customers, such as proper usage of medications, potential drug interactions, and general health tips.
8. Referrals: Direct customers to pharmacists when more in-depth medical advice is needed.
9. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, track sales trends, and communicate with the pharmacy manager to restock products as needed.
10. Customer Queries: Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
11. Promotions: Inform customers about ongoing sales, promotions, and loyalty programs to enhance customer engagement.
