Kitchen Porter
We are looking for a Full-time Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team from October 2024. This is a 6-month contract initally (Oct-Mar) to cover sick leave with the option to extend depending on performance and business levels.
The Brick Oven is a busy, family-run restaurant in Bantry, West Cork in operation since 1997. With a varied menu, starring our wood-fired pizzas, but including steak, pastas and fresh seafood speacial. We are a year-round operation, open 5 days per week, from Thursday to Monday.
Job responsibilities include wash up, preparing food under chef's guidance, stock rotation and maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness.
Wages negotiable based on experience starting from €12.70ph. Accommodation is not currently available.
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: €12.70-€14.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 24 per week

- Work experience in a kitchen setting is a bonus but not essential
- Have the ability to work under time pressure
- HACCP training a bonus but can be organised
- Be a quick learner and team player
- Good time-management
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings
