Kitchen Assistant/Cook
A Kitchen Assistant is responsible for assisting the chef in food preparation and cooking. They must be able to follow instructions and have a good knowledge of food safety procedures. The role also involves cleaning the kitchen and washing dishes.
Kitchen Assistant Job Responsibilities
Pay: €12.70-€15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week

Kitchen Assistant Job Responsibilities
- Wash and chop vegetables
- Peel and chop fruit
- Mix ingredients for salads, dressings, and sauces
- Assemble food items on plates or trays according to order
- Place plates and trays of food in ovens or warming units
- To ensure that all kitchen areas are kept clean and organized at all times.
- To assist the head chef in food preparation as needed.
- To maintain accurate inventory of all kitchen supplies and notify the head chef when supplies need to be replenished.
- To properly operate all kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to the head chef.
- To adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines set forth by the restaurant.
- The skills and qualifications needed for the role of Kitchen Assistant include:
- Basic cooking skills
- Food hygiene certification
- The ability to follow recipes
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Good organizational skills
Pay: €12.70-€15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
