Electrical Project Manager

Xenon Building Technology, a leading provider of electrical, fire, and security systems, is seeking a proficient Electrical Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage projects from initial contract award through to final handover, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
While not essential, experience in emergency lighting, fire alarm, and security installations will be a distinct advantage.
The position may suit an experienced electrician looking to move into an office-based role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. End-to-End Project Management: Oversee all aspects of project execution, from initial contract award to final handover, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Pre-Tender Activities: Attend surveys and pre-tender meetings, relay essential information to the tendering manager for accurate pricing and proposal preparation.
3. Project Planning and Value Engineering: Develop project plans and implement value engineering strategies to optimise project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
4. Budget, Scope, and Program Management: Manage project budgets, scopes, and timelines, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organisational goals.
5. Project Procurement: Oversee the procurement of materials and labour necessary for project execution.
6. Health and Safety Compliance: Compile Health & Safety documentation and ensure that project staff adhere to safety regulations.
7. On-Site Presence: Attend on-site project meetings as needed to monitor progress and address issues promptly.
8. Compliance with Standards: Ensure that all project work is in compliance with relevant national standards and industry best practices.
9. Sub-Contractor Management: Effectively manage subcontractors to ensure they meet project requirements and quality standards.
10. In-House Software Management: Oversee the management of in-house software systems for team schedules, job reports, project cost tracking, and other relevant functions.
11. Attention to Detail: Maintain a strong focus on detail, ensuring accuracy in customer-facing documentation and on-site work practices.
12. Organisational and Communication Skills: Utilise excellent organisational and communication skills to coordinate project activities, resolve issues, and foster effective teamwork.
13. Financial Management: Manage payment applications, invoicing, and capture project variations appropriately to maintain financial control.
14. Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-lasting client relationships, addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
15. Senior Management Reporting: Provide regular project progress updates to senior management and escalate client issues as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Proven experience in the electrical industry.Knowledge of emergency lighting and fire alarm systems will be an advantage.
· Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and standards.
· Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Customer-centric approach and relationship-building skills.
· May suit an experienced electrician looking to move into an office-based role.
