Job Summary

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role
The ability to manage a team and motivate
Rostering experience
Drive and enthusiasm to deliver high standards of customer service and product knowledge.
A passion for food, Irish whiskey, premium gins and cocktails.
Experience working under pressure.
Flexibility to work mornings and weekends.
Reference essential.
Duties
1. Operational Management
  • Overseeing Daily Operations: Ensuring that all aspects of the bar and grill run smoothly, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Staff Supervision: Managing staff during shifts, including bartenders, servers, cooks, and other employees.
  • Shift Management: Creating and managing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
2. Customer Service
  • Customer Interaction: Engaging with customers to ensure a positive dining and drinking experience, addressing complaints, and resolving issues.
  • Quality Control: Monitoring food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Event Coordination: Assisting in organizing and managing special events, promotions, or private parties.
3. Staff Management
  • Hiring and Training: Assisting in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff members.
  • Performance Management: Monitoring staff performance, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Team Development: Motivating staff, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting teamwork.
4. Financial Management
  • Budget Management: Assisting the GM in managing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Cost Control: Monitoring and controlling costs, including labor, food, and beverage costs.
  • Inventory Management: Overseeing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and managing stock to prevent shortages or overstocking.
5. Health and Safety Compliance
  • Sanitation and Cleanliness: Ensuring the bar and grill maintains high standards of cleanliness and adheres to health and safety regulations.
  • Food Safety: Ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulations, including proper food handling and storage.
  • Safety Protocols: Enforcing safety protocols, including emergency procedures and accident prevention measures.
6. Sales and Marketing
  • Promotion Management: Assisting in the development and execution of marketing strategies, promotions, and advertising campaigns to attract customers.
  • Customer Loyalty Programs: Managing loyalty programs or other initiatives to retain regular customers and encourage repeat business.
  • Social Media: Assisting in managing the bar and grill’s social media presence, including updating content and engaging with followers.
7. Financial Reporting
  • Daily Sales Reports: Preparing or assisting in the preparation of daily sales and financial reports.
  • Cash Handling: Overseeing cash handling procedures, including deposits, cash drawer reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
8. Facility Management
  • Maintenance Oversight: Ensuring the bar and grill's physical environment, including equipment, furnishings, and facilities, are well-maintained.
  • Supplier Relations: Managing relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely deliveries and negotiating contracts when necessary.
9. Compliance and Legal Responsibilities
  • Licensing Compliance: Ensuring the bar and grill complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including liquor licenses and employment laws.
  • Incident Management: Handling any legal or compliance issues that arise, such as accidents, incidents, or disputes.
10. Support to General Manager
  • Strategic Planning: Assisting the GM in strategic planning, including setting goals and objectives for the bar and grill.
  • Decision-Making: Making decisions in the absence of the GM or providing input on key operational decisions.
  • Reporting: Providing regular updates to the GM on operations, staff performance, and any issues that need attention.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €50,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
