Assistant Construction Manager
Role: Assistant Construction Manager
Location: Limerick/Denmark
Attention all Construction Managers! We have exciting opportunities for you to join our team in Limerick. The candidate will be expected to travel to Denmark for a period of 12 months. Salary: A competitive remuneration package will be offered commensurate with the experience of the candidate.
MSL Engineering Ltd is a mechanical engineering firm, who provide services to multinational clients in the pharmaceutical, oil and gas, food and beverage and medical devices industry.
Duties Include:
· Supervision of project sub-contracts
· Adherence to and promotion of company safety and quality policies.
· Onsite co-ordination between mechanical and other disciplines.
· Monitoring and delivering of project construction schedule
· Attending on-site co-ordination meetings with client.
· Co-ordinating and monitoring labour and plant requirements with site foremen
· Reporting directly to the project manager on all aspects of the project
· Working closely with site engineers and safety officers to achieve project goals.
· Closely monitoring labour loading at all times to ensure that all costs are minimized.
· Ensuring that all project variations are recorded for the project QS
Suitable Candidates should possess the following:
· Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working on mechanical projects in the pharmaceutical or oil and gas industries.
· Ideally the candidate would be a time served fitter or would possess a mechanical engineering qualification.
Desired Skills
· Have an excellent understanding of piping isometric and general arrangement drawings
· Possess exceptionally good organisational skills with good time management ability, working to deadlines / prioritising.
· Self-starter who is committed to achieve an excellent standard of work.
· An orderly systematic approach to problem solving will be a prerequisite for carrying out this role.
· Strong team player with ability to interact with clients and colleagues at all levels.
