Create and implement procurement strategies for various projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with vendors and suppliers. Negotiate terms and conditions to secure advantageous deals.
Conduct make-or-buy analysis, market research, and develop procurement plans. Prepare and issue RFPs/RFQs and evaluate supplier responses.
Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions. Handle contract negotiations and amendments as required.
Monitor and control procurement costs to ensure adherence to project budgets. Implement cost-saving initiatives and track savings.
Identify potential procurement risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and objectives.
Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare regular reports on procurement activities, performance, and issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a project procurement role.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supply chain management.
Experience with procurement software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, expertise in negotiating terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations is a plus.
Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project and organizational goals.
Ability to analyze data, market conditions, and supplier performance to make informed decisions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors, stakeholders, and team members.
