A graduate from a reputable university with a minimum Bachelor Degree in Biology, Physics, or Chemistry or a Bachelor Degree in Education major in Science. (Masters Degree is a plus)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in teaching Combined Science to students in the secondary (Year 7 to Year 9) preferably in an International School setting, or in a school where English is the mode of instruction.
Knowledge and experience in handling laboratory experiments and scientific investigations.
English Requirement
Strong command of the English language with excellent speaking and writing skills
A strong capacity and confidence to deliver the lesson in English a MUST
Must pass the minimum requirement of any of the English assessments below:
IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Minimum score of 6.5 overall, with no band below 6.0.
Pearson Test of English (PTE): Minimum score of 58-64 overall.
Duolingo English Test: Minimum score of 105-110.
Other Qualifications
Possesses strong classroom management skills with a high degree of responsibility towards teaching as well as students' academic progress.
Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a multi-cultural educational environment.
Familiar with the inquiry-based teaching and learning process and capable of using various teaching strategies and approaches.
Proficient in using Microsoft products, applications and services and is able to use technology efficiently for educational purposes.
