The Teacher is required to prepare and deliver lessons using EF branded content and in line with EF methodologies for classroom delivery and EF systems of learner management to ensure a high level of teaching quality and leaner satisfaction. They also have additional responsibilities which relate to the mentoring of other teachers within the school. These responsibilities can be found in the addendum role description section below.
Job Description
Carry out the timetable of classes assigned by the STM
Give lessons to the highest standards of English language teaching
Be familiar with all courses of study at the center
Become familiar with and implement the Efekta Course Management Procedures
Prepare lessons and equipment in advance for all classes.
Begin and end classes on time.
Be in class 5 minutes before starting time. Test equipment before class starts.
Use audio / video materials in classes. Expose students to the technology used in currentcourses
Develop and use suitable supplementary materials as necessary
Maintain student and class records.
Administer, correct and record the results of progress reports, tests andassessments
Be responsible for students’ welfare and progress.
Inform students of center safety and behavior policies
Substitute for absent colleagues, perhaps at short notice, on or off-site
Cooperate with the CD and STM/ST3/ST4 in ensuring the constructive communication and efficient operation of the center
Meet regularly with the STM/ST3/ST4 to communicate all relevant information
Assist the STM/ST3/ST4 upon request with the development and marketing of courses and induction of sales andteaching
Continually strive for self-development and attend regular developmental meetings with the STM, ST3 or ST4
Maintain student and class records
Assist in the placement testing and interviewing of new students
Conduct or assist in demo (MFL) lessons as assigned
Carry out teaching related responsibilities including, but not limited to demonstration classes, Li FE Clubs, tutorials, seminars, presentations, and center social events
Take on administrative work, and in addition but not limited to: cataloguing supplementary materials, organizing extra curricular events, and organizing and preparing marketing materials as directed by the STM/ST3/ST4
Keep the teachers’ room, equipment and resources well-organized and in good condition • Be familiar with the administrative procedures employed by the center
