About the role Responsible for ensuring that all allocated homes are built efficiently, within targeted time frames, to budget and profitability targets and to required QA and H&S standards through the day-to-day operation and management of the construction process. Bringing your well-developed organisational skills and keen eye for detail to the role, your main responsibilities include:
Construct homes to budgeted timelines and within budgeted costs.
Construct homes to Display home quality and QA benchmarks.
Communicate proactively with clients.
Ensure that all safety standards are met and both contractors and staff adhere to the safety rules and procedures, and the requirements of the H&S Coordination Plan.
Ensure all jobs are constructed within the rules of Occupational Health & Safety Act, EPA requirements and other relevant legislation.
Ensure all contractors have the required qualifications and insurances.
Programming of trades and suppliers to ensure construction commences on time and meets targets for completion.
Conduct critical stage inspections and document accordingly.
Minimize ETS’s and ensure homes are constructed to BOQ allowances.
Provide reports to the Area Manager and Construction Manager on results achieved at weekly meetings.
Working collaboratively with the Area Manager and Construction Manager, and Customer Service Representative to ensure the presentation of the construction site is maintained to a high level.
About you We are looking for positive and driven people. You will have a passion for new homes and the customer journey of building a home. The successful applicant will demonstrate:
Experience and understanding of the residential building process.
Demonstrated experience in Customer Service.
Demonstrated experience in managing a small team.
Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects utilising well developed time management skills.
Trade Qualification in carpentry and/or Building diploma preferred.
