ABOUT THE JOB
Gunzilla Games are looking to recruit a Senior Materials Artist to join us to work on our game OTG (Off The Grid), an all-new AAA Battle Royale 2.0 third-person shooter, available as Early Access on Play Station®5, Xbox® Series X|S and PC now.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Senior Materials Artist, you will:
Work closely with Lead, Materials artist and other relevant teams, to create materials for environments props, architecture, geology, terrain and characters establishing texture and material workflows.
Create and maintain a material library for next-gen projects.
Help build and maintain complex engine materials
Establish techniques to quickly adapt to an agile development environment
REQUIREMENTS
You will have:
5+ years experience as a materials Artist on at least 1 shipped AAA project.
Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Zbrush, Substance Designer and Substance Painter
Strong knowledge of PBR workflows and an understanding of how materials behave in the real world.
Experience in creating realistic, game-ready textures using complex shaders
Strong understanding of working with Open IO/Aces post-processing systems.
Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with technical team members
Ability to organise and manage own work to meet deadlines, as well as able to advise on planning and milestones.
