How we work

eyeo has colleagues based all over the world. We love our diversity and take great pride in our company culture. We practice an independent, remote workstyle with work distributed in cross-functional matrix teams that span predominantly EST and CET time zones. If working remotely isn't for you, we also have a large office in Berlin and soon in NYC that you can choose to work from. We meet twice a year as a team and host an annual-company retreat, our Summer Week. By enabling remote work and in-person sessions, we have built a culture that provides a unique dynamic of flexibility and belonging.

What you'll do

At eyeo, you will have the opportunity to work with a global company and team to gain experience and knowledge in the areas of group accounting, including consolidation and financial reporting. You will have opportunities to grow your career and work on various projects, ERP optimization, business process improvement and internal controls. This role will be based in Germany and will report to the Senior Consolidation Manager.

Your day-to-day activities:

• Group consolidation: assist and improve accurate and timely financial reporting across subsidiaries
• Assist in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, including the reconciliation of intercompany accounts
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements including related notes
• Ensures financial data is recorded in accordance with company policies and related GAAP
• Process standardization: establish standardized financial processes and controls across subsidiaries
• Compliance and controls: develop internal control frameworks and process documentation to monitor financial and compliance risks
• Assist with audit fieldwork
• Ad hoc projects as needed

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor's degree in accounting,finance or a foreign degree equivalent
• CPA or equivalent, Bilanzbuchhalter or Internationaler Bilanzbuchhalter
• At least 5 years experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Knowledge and experience with German GAAP and IFRS
• US GAAP and SEC experience preferred
• Business fluency in German and English
• Hands-on experience with Net Suite and Lucanet preferred
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
• Experience in working with global teams in a technology company preferred
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
