Overview:
We are on the lookout for a production operator Level 1
The production at the Ravensburg site includes the areas of pre-assembly, resin-preparation, packing and testing of OPUS PD chromatography columns and the packaging prior shipment of these finished goods.
A production operator works in the production/manufacturing of OPUS PD chromatography products in a timely and quality manner. The daily business is to process orders (work on customer orders) and to manufacture OPUS PD chromatography columns of three different product types (Robo Column, Mini Chrom, Vali Chrom). This includes filling/packing of the columns as well as performing performance qualifications and in-process quality control. The manufacturing of the side product line Filter Plates can also be relevant. Depending on the job area another daily task of a production operator can be the resin preparation for the process orders of all production lines.
It is distinguished between production operators with Level 1 – 3. Each new hired production operator (no matter what qualification) starts in Level 1. General responsibilities and qualifications of a production operator are described below. In the end of the document requirements for the different Levels 1-3 are mentioned in more detail.
Responsibilities:

Production of customer order related process orders in a timely manner according to the production plan
- Packing of OPUS PD chromatography columns (Robo Column, Mini Chrom, Vali Chrom)
- Operation of robot for column filling
- Performance qualification of OPUS PD products on HPLC systems and using respective software
- Production of the chromatography product Filter Plates (optionally)
- Resin preparation for the process orders of all production lines (optionally)
- Perform work according to standard operating procedures/work instructions and instructions provided in production data base
- Documentation of working steps
- Creation of quality documents related to the manufactured products
- Preparation of buffers required for production
- Keeping work area as well as manufacturing and testing equipment clean (and calibrated)
- Other work according to the qualification level
- Work has to be done after Repligen's IS09001 Quality Management System
Qualifications:

Completed professional training/education as BTA/CTA/MTA/PTA (alternatively bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemistry or Biology is required)
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in the operation of laboratory equipment (including pumps, UV detectors, and various gauges/sensors) and operation of process-scale manufacturing equipment
- Experience in column chromatography can be beneficial
- Experience in Microsoft office
- Basic or advanced knowledge of English language can be beneficial
- Experience in SAP can be beneficial
- Capability to work productively, self-motivated with high quality standards and paying attention to detail and accuracy
- Enthusiastic, team player, collaborative across all departments to achieve the common goals
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions accurately, learn complex tasks quickly, and complete tasks in a timely manner
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is essential
