Head of Accounting - Energy Transition - Berlin-based

Are you an experienced accounting leader with a passion for managing high-performance teams and ensuring accounting excellence? I am looking for a Head of Accounting to join my client's dynamic finance team. This is your opportunity to shape the accounting operations, drive quality, and contribute to strategic financial decision-making at a high level.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead & Inspire: Manage and lead the Group Accounting team, ensuring accuracy and high standards across all accounting functions.
Financial Accuracy: Oversee bookkeeping processes, including asset management, IFRS-16 calculations, and local GAAP transformations.
Audit & Compliance: Act as the primary contact for all audit-related topics, supporting Heads of Finance in monthly and annual book closures.
Credit & Invoicing: Manage weekly overdue reports, customer invoicing, and coordinate with sales teams for credit and invoice management.
Treasury & Banking: Oversee payment processes and support payroll management alongside the HR and Business Administration team.
Taxes & Customs: Provide expertise and support for tax returns and compliance.

What The Client Is Looking For:
An ideal candidate has a proven track record in group accounting, is well-versed in IFRS and German GAAP (HGB) standards, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Your ability to lead, maintain quality, and communicate across departments will make you a key contributor to the finance leadership.
