TASKS WITH IMPACT
- Strategy development: Develop and implement engineering and QA strategies that are closely aligned with all IT functions
- Team leadership: Leading engineering, platform and QA teams to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement (approx. 200 people).
- Resource optimisation: Ensure optimal staffing and resource planning for all software development activities in line with the business strategy.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Close collaboration with IT governance (esp. architecture & IT security), product management and IT infrastructure teams to ensure seamless product development, continuous delivery, stability and security.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring the delivery of high quality software solutions by implementing robust QA processes that include both automated and manual testing strategies.
- Operations: Ensuring smooth operation of all applications on our infrastructure (hyperscaler & on-prem) with zero downtime
- Best Practices: Implement and maintain software engineering and QA best practices such as Agile, Dev Sec Ops and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies.
- Technology Adoption: Monitoring new technologies and tools to improve product quality and development efficiency.
- Performance metrics: Establishing and tracking metrics (KPIs) to continuously improve engineering and QA performance.
YOUR SKILLS
- More than 10 years of experience in software engineering leadership positions, with extensive experience in leading large teams and complex projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field or comparable qualification through work experience.
- Advanced training or certification in software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum) and QA standards is an advantage
