Perform various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding on marine structures and components.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
Conduct quality inspections to verify weld integrity and compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate closely with engineers and fellow craftsmen to optimize fabrication processes and improve efficiency.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a welder, preferably in a marine or shipyard environment.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols accurately.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Certification in welding techniques (e.g., AWS certification) is advantageous.
