As the demand for our consultation services continues to grow worldwide, we are looking to hire three Regulatory & Scientific Affairs Specialists to expand our regulatory team. These roles are ideal for individuals with experience in product authorisation processes in the EU and/or US coupled with a strong scientific background. We are looking for experts in molecular biology, microbiology, toxicology, nutritional science or other relevant scientific fields. We are primarily looking for full-time employees, but are open to part-time work as well. Hybrid location:
Biosafe is headquartered in Kuopio, Finland, but these positions offer the flexibility of being fully remote within EU. Candidates should have authorisation to work in the EU. Occasional visits to Kuopio are required, though we have equipped our team with modern online tools facilitating collaboration with the team and customers from your home office.
Your role as a Regulatory & Scientific Affairs Specialist at Biosafe
Depending on your expertise, you will for example contribute to in-depth and detailed scientific risk assessments of secondary metabolites, conduct extensive literature searches systematically, and perform exposure analyses of food chemicals.
Preparing regulatory submissions to the EU, FDA or other authorities and coordinating studies for our clients.
Reviewing and developing study plans and study reports.
Staying informed of the latest EU, US and global regulations and guidance, ensuring our practices are up to date.
Improving internal processes and workflows within the business.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking individuals who can combine scientific knowledge with regulatory requirements, possess a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset and strive to help our customers access the market smoothly.
In addition, you
Hold a Master’s degree in biotechnology, food science, or similar relevant field. Ph D is an advantage.
Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the food/feed industry, government agencies or authorities, or a relevant company.
Are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in another language is a benefit.
Communicate openly and effectively with team members and clients.
Possess sound knowledge of EU and/or US food legislation.
Can manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing environment and schedules.
Thrive in an independent work environment, taking a hands-on approach, and assuming full ownership of projects from start to finish.
Work in a structured and systematic manner, with a keen eye for details.
