Wärtsilä Marine Power Supply, Customer Delivery, is looking for a Testing Engineer to join the Catalyst Delivery team. In this position, you can work independently while closely cooperating with your team members.
What you will be doing
As Testing Engineer, you are responsible for Catalyst Systems auxiliary equipment system testing at STH Vaasa to ensure that technical and quality requirements are fulfilled before completing customer delivery. In your role, you will be communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
The position is offered permanently and working location is STH Vaasa, Finland.
As Testing Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Project-specific auxiliary unit installation and preparation for testing setup
- Software and parameter load/setup for electrical units
- System-level functional testing according to test protocol and project-specific requirements
- Creating project-specific files, reports, and quality documentation for both internal and external purposes
- Contributing customer FAT (factory acceptance test), running functional tests with customer presence
- Supporting classification society inspections at testing premises
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Fluent in both written and oral business English and Finnish (or Swedish)
- Experience in electrical system testing
- Previous involvement from electrical or mechanical assembly is seen as an advantage
- B.Sc. in electrical/automation engineering or other similar
- Suitable PC skills in general
- Self-driven attitude and systematic way of working
