We are looking for a Strength Analyst to join Mac Gregor’s team in the Equipment Solutions Division.
As a Strength Analyst you will support our hatch Cover and Lashing Construction engineering team. The suitable candidate will conduct strength analysis for the international order fulfillment process. We are providing reliable and innovative value adding cargo handling solutions for ship owners, operators and ship builders worldwide.
In this position you will be working closely with Tendering, Technical Managers, Contract Managers, R&D, Design partners, classification societies, Design Project Leaders, Designers, Senior Strength Analysts and will report directly to strength analysis Team leader.

Main tasks and responsibilities

To develop calculation tools & systems
To advise designers in technical matters
Strength analyses of non-standard solutions
Strength calculation of steel structure
Assisting designers in strength calculation of fittings
Documentation of calculations for approval
Handling of strength related rule matters & assisting class during approval
Design partner guidance.

What you’ll need to succeed

Masters or Bachelors Degree or relevant experience
3+ years of relevant steel structure strength analysis
Technical approach
Knowledge of FEM calculation, especially Solidworks & Ansys softwares
Knowledge of metallic materials
Experience from Project business
Competence to multitasking
Fluency in English - both written and spoken
