We are now looking for an experienced Senior Manager, VAT for our Global Tax team in the CFO Office. In this role, you will play a key role in managing global VAT and other indirect tax processes, driving tax audits and leading development projects on both regional and global levels. This permanent position is new and will be located at our headquarters in Helsinki.

Kemira CFO office provides accurate and timely information and drives efficiency improvements through best-in-class finance & accounting and planning & controlling services as well as corporate level strategy, risk management, treasury, investor relations, M&A operations and IT.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Leading global VAT and indirect tax processes
• Providing in-house advisory on VAT and indirect tax matters
• Analyzing and interpreting indirect tax legislation, including tax reforms
• Managing indirect taxation in business models and M&A activities
• Driving tax audits and negotiating with tax authorities
• Managing VAT/indirect tax analytics tools and automation processes
• Supporting the global deployment of SAP ERP from a VAT/indirect tax perspective
• Delivering VAT-related training to internal stakeholders

What you’ll bring to the team:

• Master’s degree in taxation, law, or economics
• 6+ years of experience as a tax consultant, in-house tax manager in a multinational, or senior tax specialist in Tax Administration
• Deep expertise in VAT and indirect tax matters
• Strong understanding of international taxation, EU tax law, and OECD tax guidelines
• An independent, proactive mindset with excellent analytical skills
• Fluency in both English and Finnish
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently
