We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our team developing novel features for proton radiotherapy planning.
As a member of our cross-functional team, you will participate in the software development process from inception to production, focusing on design, development, and testing activities.
You have a competence to become an expert in dose calculation algorithms that are integral and critical part of the radiotherapy treatment planning system.
You will develop and maintain dose calculation algorithms used in proton treatment planning, you will also implement and maintain automated tests for verifying the accuracy and performance of the algorithms. Your will also work with management of requirements, ensuring that design trace to automated verification is consistent and well-documented.
You have an analytical and proactive mind set and you feel comfortable working on complex problems and long-term R&D projects.
As our algorithms directly influence patient care, you are always dedicated to bringing in the best value and quality, your commitment to safety and quality is a must. In addition, you are an open minded, flexible thinker and you have no problems dealing with different personalities and opinions.
Main responsibilities
- Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of state-of-the-art radiotherapy treatment planning algorithms and related services.
- Work closely with product managers and architects to translate overall requirements and architecture into well designed and implemented software components.
- Implement and maintain automated tests, ensuring that our design trace from requirements to verification is consistent and well-documented.
- Participate in a range of software development activities from inception to production, within an agile environment.
Skills & Experience:
- Solid on-hands knowledge of C++ programming.
- Competence and interest to learn the radiotherapy domain related topics.
- BSc / MSc / Ph D degree from Computer science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar field.
- Experience in professional software development and its processes, including Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience in test automation and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Experience with Monte Carlo algorithms, high performance computing, including the use of GPU calculations, is a plus
- Proactive team worker.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
