Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a new Project Engineer to join us at ABB Oy, Energy Industries in Vaasa. In this position you will be responsible for executing and coordinating automation engineering activities for Gas and Diesel Engine Power Plants. We offer you an opportunity to work in a global working environment with electrical/automation customer projects in an expanding project organisation. You will have the opportunity to extend your technical skills in different segments while joining our young and motivated work community. The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Planning and implementing automation solutions for Gas and Diesel Engine Power plants • Serving as a technical reference for the project team, suppliers and customers • Collaborating with Project Managers, project team members, customers representatives and other stakeholders to reach project targets. • Contributing to professional and cost-effective project execution in line with contract specifications, budget, quality standards, and safety requirementsQualifications for the role
- B.Sc. level degree in electrical or automation engineering
- Experience of industrial automation systems
- Relevant PLC or HMI programming experience, Siemens PLC or Wonderware In Touch experience are preferred
- Fluency in English and Swedish or Finnish, both written and spoken
- A collaborative problem solver personality with the ability to prioritize while keeping your eyes on the target
- Knowledge in industrial automation networks is seen as a benefit
- Experience of piston engine driven power plant automation systems is seen as a benefit
