Your role and responsibilities

The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid We are now looking for an Operative Purchaser to join our team at Distribution Solutions unit in Vaasa. In this role you will join our operative purchasing team and be responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms, ensuring that purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. There will also be opportunities for travel to enhance vendor collaboration, approximately 10-20 days annually mainly within Europe. You will be mainly accountable for: • Operative purchasing to ensure on time deliveries • Collaboration with internal clients and vendors including follow-ups and reclamations • Forecasting of material requirements • Inventory management • Developing various processes within purchasing

Qualifications for the role

• B.Sc. degree from a relevant field, such as Economics, Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering or similar
• A few years of relevant work experience from purchasing or logistics operations
• Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Experience in vendor or external stakeholder collaborations and taking part in negotiations
• Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
• Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate well with others in a team environment
• Ability to work proactively and systematically with good problem-solving capabilities
