About the Role:
The purpose of the function, “Destination Project Manager” is to have the responsibility of all activities of Destination Management, MICE & Specialized biz operations in the given area/region, this including marketing, promotion, sales activities & product development, acting as the advisor being the destination expert. This position also entails end to end project management and manage the full scope of own events, from answering the client request/brief with the best tailored proposal to financial reconciliation. This needs to be done with strong commitment to the company and its policies
Key Responsibilities:
Be “one point of contact” for the sales organization, overseeing all phases of the project
Project Management end to end (including quotation support & optimization)
Manage and operate specialist tours, including itinerary and revenue checks
Join and lead Inspections and Client meetings, upselling extra services and products
Onsite support for key MICE and Premium Ad-hoc groups, upselling extra services and products
Assist in building a network of key relationships within your destination
Source high end/niche products, negotiate & collect rebates and comissions
Handle direct business end to end, including setting pricing and margin control
To process and confirm critical services efficiently and accurately, paying attention to any special requirements of the clients
Undertake project work as required by management
Complete any rate collection/negotiation activities requested by your manager/team leader
Provide active and ongoing support and knowledge transfer to the Kuoni Tulmare sales organisation
Investigate and resolve service complaints
Deliver on teams agreed SLA’s
Pre/Post season analysis and recommendations (coordinated with Procurement)
Ensure all business activities comply with relevant financial, industry compliance, legislative, legal demands, and ethical standards of the organization
To Succeed in the Role, You Should Have:
Experience in Tourism, Event Management or DMC field at least 2 years
Knowledge of MS Office programs, Excel, Power Point, Outlook mainly
Commercially minded and Sales driven
Customer focus, confident and polite attitude
Excellent ability to communicate, liaise, negotiate and influence decision makers both internally and externally
Ability to work effectively in a complex, diverse and changing environment
Geographic knowledge of Finland, including Lapland
Project management
Proven ability to build strong customer and supplier relationships
Good oral and written communication skills
Language skills-English fluent and any additional language will be an advantage

Destination travel expertise
Excellent at coordinating across a matrix organization
