About the job

You will report to Erik Tamm, our Strategic Purchase and Logistics Manager, and your primary workplace will be our new headquarters in Odense. However, this position may require occasional travel to our factories, warehouses, transportation hubs, and new market regions.
As our Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing both domestic and international freight operations for JABS Group. This role involves managing existing markets in Northern Europe while also focusing on expanding into new markets. More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
• Monitor and optimize transportation costs and performance metrics
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet forecasted capacity needs
• Collaborate with Logistic Managers at each factory to ensure efficient full truckload (FTL) shipments
• Collaborate with Sales Managers in each country to handle domestic transport
• Support and collaborate with colleagues from Inwido regarding transportation and logistics
• Manage relationships with transportation providers to ensure high service levels
• Develop and implement strategies for expanding into new markets

About you – our new Transport Manager

It is essential that you are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additionally, it is important that you have proven experience in managing both domestic and international freight operations and have a strong understanding of transportation regulations and standards. Further, we are looking for the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in logistics software and tools

It is also an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have experience in expanding into new markets, knowledge of FTL and domestic transport operations, and the ability to analyze and optimize transportations costs and performance metrics.
