At the VELUX Group , our Center of Excellence in Supply is committed to ensuring manufacturing excellence across our many production companies globally. The Center of Excellence Maintenance Free Materials (Co E MFM) leads production technology activities in the fields of plastic/polymer moulding, extruding, washing lacquering, machining (milling drilling…), welding, reinforcement (wood/steel)and processing. More specifically, the Co E MFM specifies, develops, and delivers production technologies for our production companies. It specifies technology standards and develops new technologies as well as maintaining and optimizing existing ones.
Your challenges
As Technical Project Manager in our Center of Excellence – Maintenance-Free Materials (Co E MFM) department in Thyregod, you will oversee projects related to manufacturing technologies and processes specifically for maintenance-free materials. More specifically, you will utilize your people skills and technical insight to specify requirements and lead the sourcing, testing, and approval processes for new manufacturing equipment, including SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), in close collaboration with our production companies. Additionally, you will ensure that equipment and processes align with the department’s value chain responsibilities and standards.
More specifically, you will:
Head and supervise both local and global manufacturing equipment projects, ensuring high quality and timely deliverables.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for equipment sourcing and implementation.
Ensure pro-active coordination, collaboration and dialogues with IT, our Production companies, logistic, quality, and Procurement and suppliers.
Build relationships to all key stakeholders and act as sparring partner for Supply Engineering teams, Product Organization and our Production Companies where the technologies are implemented.
Act as the primary point of contact with suppliers for technical discussions and project updates.
Actively suggest improvement opportunities such as improving machines, equipment, logistic automation and logistics processes.
You will report directly to Director Co E MFM, Celia Le Gouil. This role requires approximately 20-30 days of travelling per year – domestic and international travel.
Your Qualifications
As a person, you are structured and systematic and take pride in delivering on your responsibilities on time and at required quality. You are proficient in planning and know how to visualize a project plan and break it into suitable work packages. You are collaborative and a skilled communicator with the ability to get people onboard and work towards one common goal. This requires solid stakeholder management skills, and you are characterised by your ability to efficiently work and communicate across all levels of an organization and with a diverse group of stakeholders. You are a team player, and you know how to motivate your project team continuously to deliver high quality on time.
Moreover, you:
Have an educational background within a technical area, e.g. mechanical engineering, manufacturing/production engineering, automation engineering or related field.
Bring some years of experience in Project Management focusing on specifying and implementing production equipment.
Bring profound knowledge of machinery and insights into the intersections between development functions and technical implementation in manufacturing.
Have a curious mind and an open attitude towards learning new technologies.
Have a sound analytical problem solving capacity.
Speak and write English at a professional level and you are able to have a basic social conversation in Danish as well. Speaking polish would be a plus.
