The position
As a Principal Scientist at Novo Nordisk, you will:
- Lead and conduct research in AI data generation for biologics discovery.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend the acquisition and application of new protein and peptide engineering or manufacturing technologies.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in molecular biology, NGS, protein expression and purification, solid-phase peptide synthesis, and biologics assay development.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of protein and peptide product development processes across diverse scientific disciplines in the early research labs.
- Analyze technical data from experiments and test runs to draw conclusions, and document and communicate results with confidence.

Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this position we would expect you to have:
- A wet lab Ph D in molecular biology, chemistry, biomedical research or similar and +7 years of experience, preferably in pharma or biotech.
- Extensive hands-on experience in recombinant protein production or peptide synthesis.
- Experience in biologics assay development.

You'll be joining our Digital Science & Innovation team, which supports the digital journey across all our therapy areas in Research & Early Development (R&ED). We work in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with all areas across R&ED to leverage scientific knowledge, partner with our IT organization to ensure access to the most advanced technology platforms and tools and engage in drug development projects across the value chain. We're focused on developing and retaining top talent. In the department of Automation and Process Optimisation we enable our skilled scientists to acquire data for training of advanced machine learning algorithms with cutting-edge automation solutions.
