Job Description
As the Head of Asset Integrity, you will be responsible for ensuring the development and high performance of the Asset Integrity department. Your primary focus will be to align the department's strategy with the broader business goals, empowering your team to effectively translate strategy into practice.
The core objective of this role is to maintain, document, and provide visibility of asset integrity throughout the entire asset lifecycle. Additionally, you will ensure that the team upholds Vattenfall’s values, driving safe, reliable, compliant, and efficient operations across all assets. Your role / what will you do? As the Head of Asset Integrity, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality results and ensuring that all outputs from the department are completed on time and meet the highest standards. Your role will involve guiding and developing your team, managing key stakeholders, and ensuring that resources, budgets, and development needs are effectively allocated to maximize performance. You will play a key role in defining and communicating the business requirements of the Asset Integrity department, ensuring these are reflected in all relevant contracts. Additionally, you will take ownership of process management, acting as the process manager for Asset Integrity, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Finally, you will ensure that the department's goals are aligned with the broader Integrated Operations targets, embedding them into everyday practices and driving the success of the entire asset portfolio.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
Asset Integrity
Lead the Asset Integrity Management System, ensuring continuous visibility and documentation of asset integrity throughout its lifecycle.
Identify and address operational risks, escalating when necessary, while overseeing the development of reliability and condition data.
Create and manage Asset Integrity dashboards to visualize equipment and site reliability based on risk.
Ensure technical topics are integrated into operational and budget planning, and take ownership of technical investment proposals and performance/financial tools.
Support the development of technical management of change and risk evaluation for bulletins, while being accountable for their overall assessment.
Collect and escalate technical input to engineering and OEMs as needed.
Leadership
Lead a team of about 8-12 Asset Integrity Engineers, organised internationally
Lead and inspire the team by creating a clear and empowering framework, giving them the space and confidence to reach their full potential and take ownership of their work.
Foster growth and success by regularly discussing objectives, training, and career development to drive both personal and business achievement.
Be a role model, leading by example with integrity and alignment to Vattenfall’s core values, purpose, and strategy.
Location
Kolding, Amsterdam or London.
Qualifications Your profile / who are you?
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of leadership experience in a similar international role within the energy or technical industries, with a strong preference for offshore wind experience.
Solid expertise in Asset, Risk, and Integrity Management is highly valued.
A positive, proactive, and structured mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
A proven track record as a people-focused leader, with excellent soft skills and a genuine interest in fostering growth and development within your team.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage effectively across diverse cultures and geographical regions.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with SAP, project/program management, and relevant technical knowledge are a plus.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
