The Role
Our team in the Czech Republic is responsible for the DHI Cloud Solution and part of DHI’s technology portfolio of Digital Solutions, and we are looking for a Solution Architect (SA) to join us. While your job title will be Solution Architect, the role is also meant to work as a Senior Developer in the same team.
As a Solution Architect for DHI, you will be responsible for handling multiple projects locally and overseas (remotely). You will work in close collaboration with our other architects located in Australia and Denmark, and with our team in the Czech Republic.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Designing the architecture of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based solutions.
- Optimizing storage, retrieval, and analysis of data using the latest Data Modelling techniques.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define innovative solutions.
- Ensuring best practices in cloud architecture and data management are followed.
- Development and bug fixing of our Cloud Services together with the team.
Skills and Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience as an Architect and Senior Developer working with cloud-based platforms.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Information.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience working in Software Development, Network Administration, and/or Information Technology.
- Expertise in data modeling and database design.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related technologies, specifically AKS.
- Proven experience in .NET technology, C# development.
- Proven experience with Microservices Architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficient skills in written and verbal English.
- Familiarity with GDAL
- Familiarity with Post GIS
- Familiarity working with Time series optimized storage/querying
- Familiarity working with Spatial data
- In-Depth knowledge of Agile process and principles.
- Familiarity with Python.
- Proficient knowledge of work organisation using systems such as Azure Dev Ops or JIRA.
- Enjoys mentoring junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Experience with IOT Data streams.
- Certification: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert
