Join us as a Quants Infrastructure Developer at Barclays! In this role, you will oversee the operations of our application infrastructure, both on-premises and within the AWS ecosystem. Additionally, you would develop toolings in C# to support our global Quantitative Analytics community at Barclays. We're currently looking for two new colleagues—one with a focus on infrastructure and the other more centered on C# software development.
To be successful as a Quants Infrastructure Developer, you should have experience with:
C# programming and web development, with knowledge of .NET Framework and .NET Core
Databases (SQL and No SQL)
General networking (TCP/IP)
System administration (Windows and Linux)
Scripting in Power Shell, Bash, or Python
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience with tools such as Jira, Team City, Git, Nagios, or similar
Strong ability to diagnose server or network alerts and issues, as well as monitor the platform
Experience supporting technology solutions using cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure)

This role will be based in our Prague office. Purpose of the role To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
