Student Engineer will s upport successful design, development and validation of turbocharger bearings and related components or assemblies within the Commercial Vehicles (CV) business. Collaborative team member of a larger CV Shafts & Bearings development and launch team, interacting with cross-functional development engineers to achieve common goals.
Responsibilities:
• Propose & integrate technical solutions with the support of the different functional domains, working in a multi-functional environment and utilizing appropriate simulation tools and methodologies for Turbocharger bearing designs.
• Design, simulate & qualify the turbocharger bearings components and assemblies to meet internal validation requirements and customer needs.
• Support for key engineering documents creation (Simulation results, New methodology documentation, test instructions, knowledge management documents, design reviews and technical reports).
Your profile:
- B.S./M.S. engineering degree or equivalent
- Experience in field of mechanical engineering business preferred
- Mechanical or electrical engineering degree is preferred
- A fundamental knowledge in mechanical and aerodynamic design of turbochargers. Turbocharger bearings related experience is a plus.
- A fundamental knowledge of internal combustion engines
- A basic, mechanical, “hands-on” ability
- Advanced in speaking and writing English is essential. Additional language skills (French or German or Czech) are also preferred.
- Ability to learn new skills and processes, in development simulation methods and tools
