What you'll be doing:
The Chief Accountant will be responsible for controlling financial processes regarding the area of Accounting, Taxation & Treasury, Statutory and IFRS Reporting.
You will support cooperation with the FSSC , to participate in US and statutory financial closings and also assure the quality and timeliness of trial balance including account reconciliation procedure.
Key responsibilities:
Regular monthly and month end closing tasks
- Actively participating in Avon Statutory and IFRS reporting results. Ensure statements accuracy and compliance with local legislations and IFRS rules
- Daily support of FSSC and GP activities
- Arrange that necessary supporting documentation for booking is prepared
- Analyze FSSC and GP activities, according to tax and bookkeeping point of view
- Maintain a regular process for monthly data collection, validation and reporting of FSSC and GP activities
- Support FP&R Team and Finance Controlling Manager with timely and accurately provided data for Actual and Outlooks reporting
- Responsible for monthly reconciliations of local GL accounts and maintain reconciliation between IFRS and local accounting
- Timely, proper and accurate data transferring
- regular and ad hoc reporting (e.g. BTL report, other corporate reports)
- Cooperate with FSSC in terms of any queries regarding FSSC team booking activities
Taxation
- Responsible for IFRS taxation related duties including calculation and posting of deferred tax, effective tax and preparation of T schedules
Other relevant duties and activities
- Coordinate year end audits
- Coordinate internal audit in accounting related areas
- Develops chart of accounts
- Participate in internal projects as financial expert
Job Requirements:
- Higher education (preferably Accounting or Finance)
- Experience in coordinating people
- 3-5 years accounting experience
- Computer literacy (Excel, Power Point)
- Knowledge in using accounting software, preferably Hyperion
- Very good knowledge of English
- Internal audit, taxation, accounting standards
- Discipline and high attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Complex thinker
