This is a full-time role for a MERN Developer. The MERN Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining marine software solutions using the MERN stack (Mongo DB, Express.js, React, and Node.js). The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to innovate new features and ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in both front-end and back-end development, as well as a passion for building efficient, user-friendly, and high-performing applications tailored for the maritime industry.

Main Responsibilities:

• Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using the MERN stack (Mongo DB, Express.js, React, Node.js) to create dynamic, responsive, and high-performance applications.
  
• API Development & Integration: Build RESTful APIs to integrate with third-party services and data providers, ensuring seamless data flow between various systems and applications.
  
• Front-End Development: Implement engaging and user-friendly interfaces using React, HTML, CSS, and Java Script, ensuring a responsive and intuitive user experience.
  
• Back-End Development: Develop efficient back-end systems using Node.js and Express.js, handling database interactions, user authentication, and real-time data processing.
  
• Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas in Mongo DB, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and performance for large-scale applications.
  
• Performance & Scalability: Monitor application performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and optimize code for scalability and speed to handle increasing amounts of traffic and data.
  
• Security Best Practices: Implement security protocols to protect sensitive marine data and user information, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  
• Collaboration: Work closely with the product management, design, and other development teams to understand project requirements, participate in code reviews, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
  
• Troubleshooting & Bug Fixing: Identify, diagnose, and fix bugs and issues in both front-end and back-end code, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  
• Documentation & Version Control: Write and maintain technical documentation for development processes, codebases, and APIs. Utilize Git for version control to manage and track changes in code.
  
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies. Proactively suggest improvements and new features to enhance the software solutions offered by Albatross Marine Inc.
  

Mandatory Requirements:

• Proficiency in Mongo DB, Express.js, React, and Node.js (MERN stack)
• Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Java Script
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience in the maritime industry or with marine software solutions is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
