THE POSITION
The Distribution Centre Team has a vital role in supporting our business and is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of customer service by providing same day processing of receipts and shipping all in transit requests 100%, maintaining accurate inventory and providing excellent communication internally and externally. These key performance metrics are of critical importance for providing superior customer service and as such strict adherence to our policies and procedures is imperative to the success of our business.
Under the direction of the Distribution Centre Manger, the DC Lead Hand is responsible for setting an excellent example of professionalism for all team members, as well as overseeing and coordinating the work of all distribution centre staff. This includes an awareness of and ability to anticipate the workflow and to assign staff to areas when and as needed to ensure all orders are shipped on a daily basis. Ensure that all employees work within established regulations, policies and procedures according to warehouse operation and safety. The Lead Hand will prioritize, supervise and coordinate all shipping, receiving, put away, returns and IC activities, and direct staff to meet DC and company objectives. .

THE QUALIFICATIONS
- Related warehouse experience
- Ability to stand in one place, bend and reach for an extended period of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to learn in-house software application and successfully process transactions
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Access to reliable transportation
